Abstract
Spillway of irrigation and hydropower projects often has high specific discharge capacity with meandering flow, living roads and residents in downstream. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct hydraulic physical model tests for selecting suitable type of flip bucket structure in order to reduce scouring and protecting the downstream.
The paper presents in summary the experimental reseach of discontinuous flip bucket (staggered) applied for spillways locating in main stream of Bung 4 river hydropower project.
