Brief description: The project objective is to prepare reports on the following items for a research study conducted for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Japan:
a/ Vietnam’s measures against global warming, structure and role of the relevant organization, flow of decision making, key person and ability of policy making in the country
b/ Status of the legislation for project implementation against global warming
c/ Regarding the projects against global warming in the country, status of the project implementation in each country and status of international and domestic support
d/ Presence or absence of the existing action plan against global warming (e.g. NAMAs. PAD etc.), implementation in each country and status of international and domestic support
e/ Scale and purpose of the financial needs for the measures against global warming
f/ Presence or absence of the target of GHG emissions reduction
g/ Legal point of view on CDM credit
h/ Procurement obstacles for technology transfer from Japan
i/ Industry and technology sector which requests the cooperation of Japan, regarding the effort to GHG emissions reduction
